Breath of Courage is the story of a
tenaciously optimistic young girl named Melissa (Katrina Melanie
Walker) who plays matchmaker to a couple of new acquaintances (played
by Brian Richeson and Sapphire DeFranco) while she and her older
brother, Dan (Scott Pyle), spend a week with a family friend, a former
stage actress named Mercedes LaRue (Joy Borland), while their parents
attempt to work out their marital problems. During their stay,
the children learn much about life, but they also teach those they meet
that it takes courage and love to truly live.
This
charming family film is directed and edited by Peter Anthony Fields
from his
original story and a screenplay by Evonne Fields-Gould. The film
stars
Joy Borland, Katrina Melanie Walker, Scott Pyle, Brian Richeson and
Sapphire DeFranco. Breath of
Courage's supporting
cast includes Cheryl Eitman, Bruce Jennings, John Lynch, Ethan
Rosenfeld, Sara Pink, Shanteal Davis and Drew Wheeler. Working
behind
the camera are assistant directors Abi Pink and Elizabeth Gould;
production assistant Jaclyn Inglis; associate producers Quata Tucker
and Joy Borland; original music by Jamal Dillman-Hasso with
orchestrations by Richard Krehnovi. The picture was filmed in
Stow,
Akron and Highland Hills, Ohio, USA.
