Seekers of the Statue
The Production * Cast & Crew * The Story

Seekers of the Statue is an exciting mystery/suspense film for the whole family. It premiered at Cleveland State University early in 2003 and followed with a successful showing at the Shaker Heights Community Center in the Spring. The film played throughout the early Spring of 2004 on Adelphia Cable for Northeast Ohio.

Seekers was filmed in Shaker Heights, Cleveland, and Cleveland Heights, Ohio during the summer of 2002. "It was a hot summer," says director and editor Peter Anthony Gould. "I have to say we suffered for art, especially on the days we filmed in the home. It was really tough on the actors who had to be in front of the lights--but they were really good about it and we all had a great time, regardless of the heat. Betty Troccolo, the owner of the home we shot in, is such a wonderful and dear person; she opened her home to us for this production and we are very grateful to her for that. Having a film shoot in your home is not an easy thing to deal with."

In addition to the home, the production filmed at various establishments in the Shaker Heights area including Phil the Fire Restaurant, Michael's Diner, and outside of Joseph-Beth Booksellers.

Peter Anthony Gould goes on to say, "Seekers is a mystery/suspense film, and I'm a huge fan of that genre. I wanted to make a movie that would be good for the whole family to see. At it's core, the film is really about family and friendship."
